Want to learn more about gardening?

You can- for free! Check out this series of live sessions in the "Healthy Garden Training Series" provided by the USDA People's Garden Initiative and Cooperative Extension Service: http://www.extension.iastate.edu/broadcasts/emg. You can sign up on the webpage and join in for the sessions as you're able. Topics range from soil to garden insects to public gardens to use of pesticides, and are presented by various experts from universities around the country.

As part of Seaboard Jardin Maravilloso's grant from Keep Greenwood County Beautiful, coordinators Lynsey Bock and Linda Halsey were given the opportunity to attend two community garden trainings and were also given a number of seeds and biodomes to begin seedlings for their project. Thanks to Park Seed for the donated supplies!

Seaboard Jardin Maravilloso: Greenwood, South Carolina, United States; Seaboard Jardin Maravilloso is a community garden project being developed in the New Haven community of Greenwood, South Carolina. The community garden has been made possible through grant funding from Keep Greenwood County Beautiful and through a land leasefrom Stockman Commercial Properties, LLC.
